These guidelines are there to ensure that you get the most out of your shapewear garment while being safe and avoiding potential unwanted negative side effects or issues.

Important don’ts:

  • Do not sleep in your shapewear
  • Do not use shapewear if size is not correct (meaning size is too small)
  • Do not use your shapewear if you are experiencing discomfort, rash or any other kind of skin irritation

  • Some individuals may experience an allergic reaction to some of the materials used in construction of shapewear (such as Latex) and skin might become irritated or rash might appear. If this would happen, you should stop using that shapewear and try a different model made from different material or a product made from ‘’Hypoallergenic’’ materials.
  • Using your shapewear for extended periods may weaken your core muscles, as they become less active do to shapewear providing support to your abdomen. Therefore, as a part of healthy lifestyle, core muscle workouts are recommended whenever you are waist training (plank workout for example). This way you are enjoying the benefits of your waist trainer without any lose, while further strengthening yourself and working on achieving your desired result.
